Going through Kdrama withdrawal led me to 2008 Jang Geun-seok movies.
Doremefasolasido kmovie! starts off as all high school romantic dramas do. Girl meets boy. Hate turns to love. Insert a third wheel with a healthy dose of angst and ta-da, it's a movie. The movie starts off in a cute manner as Jeong-won, a part-timer at an amusement park, meets Eun-gyu, bratty guy at the park. Jang Geun-seok plays Eun-gyu who is also in a band, so we get to hear him sing some likable rock songs. They just start a relationship when Jeong-won meets Eun-gyu's bassist, Hee-won, a former friend whom she caused past/current grief. This all plays out believably until the last third of the movie when the soap opera writers came in to wrap up the movie. The good thing is that the movie's pacing is very quick, so you only cringe for a bit near the end. Sadly, the soundtrack does not have Doremi's versions of the songs.
Here's one of the happy songs. ~7/10 rating~ only recommended to Jang Geun-seok fans.
Baby and Me kmovie! loosely based on the jp manga. Jang Geun-seok plays a delinquent, Joon-soo. His parents, tired of dealing with him, run away to live at the spa. Joon-soo, unperturbed, is shopping in the grocery one day, and finds a baby dropped off in his cart with a note saying that it is his. There are some moments of comedy and cute, but most of the movie is about all the bad choices Joon-soo makes while taking care of the baby. A random genius girl is slid into the movie to occasionally help him out. The movie kinda goes nowhere with the cute trying to keep the audience's attention, but the writing isn't all that great. I think all the highlights are featured in the
trailer. ~7/10 rating~ again, only recommended to Jang Geun-seok fans.
