Not going to rate the anime I've watched this year, but I'll list out the ones that were my favs.
Aoi Bungaku, Bakemonogatari, Eden of the East, Zoku Natsume Yuujinchou (can't really list Full Metal Alchemist seeing how it isn't done, and Darker Than Black still has some DVD episodes to be released, but the 2009 parts were enjoyable).
First anime review of the year...
The Legend of Koizumi 1! webcast version. This is basically caricatures of still-living political figures that play mahjong told in the style of Yakitate Japan. As amusing as the concept is, I have no interest in mahjong and the over-the-top portrayal ain't working for me. The first episode was about Jong-il vs. Koizumi. I suppose this will be banned in N. Korea. The only reason I would watch more is to see how they represent Bush.
Though I did watch a few decent jdramas, only these kdramas were worth squeeing about;You're Beautiful & The Painter of the Wind.
I don't recall any stand-out manga, but I did finish (finally) reading RG Veda last year, along with Tsubasa RC, Kimi wa Pet, Koukou Debut, Shaman King, and a bunch of BL whose titles I can't really recall..I liked the cheesy mouse/carp one.
