Been waiting all month and still waiting...
Shibatora 1! jdrama. Meant to watch a few new jdramas but eh, the promos looked bad. This one looked the least bad. Teppei Koike plays Shibata Taketora, a baby-faced, kendo-skilled detective who can see the reaper when a person is in danger of dying. Fujiki Naohito (who looks nothing like he usually does) plays his gay(?) friend, Fujiki Kojiro, who helps him out with the fighting. There's also a fat computer wiz/pastry chef friend. The first episode has some funny moments as Taketora tries to find a missing girl. The flaws were mostly in the storytelling area. The overacting with some of the side characters was also grating. And a huge OUCH at the scene where Fujiki wraps Taketora's cut hands in packing tape. eh, maybe I should stick to my kdramas this season.
