Who Are You?
Who Are You? 1-2 kdrama! has actually almost finished airing, but I just started watching. It's a typical poor girl + rich business man vs nice guy, but there's the dead father to consider.
The characters~ Young In - a girl just about to finish high school and was wanting to go to college for art; Young In's father - former artist, current dead spirit who leaves his only daughter in debt; Seung Hyo - the rich arrogant guy with a slight personality defect; Jae Ha - the nice-guy, artsy person
Quick summary ~ The father dies, but bargains with Death to come back and make sure his daughter is okay. He is allowed to possess the rich guy, so that he may interact with his daughter. The rich guy has no idea what is going on. The nice guy wants her father's artwork, but gets sucked into the poor girl's situation.
Quick impression ~ Again, I'm disappointed that Kdramas so readily set up a predictable Cinderella story where the poor girl falls for the 'prince' who is always a snobbish businessman and in the course of the drama changes his ways. The nice guy should occasionally get the girl. The interesting thing about this businessman is his obsessive compulsive nature to have everything clean. Anyway, the actors perform well and there are unexpected comedic moments. Not sure if I'll make it all the way through this series, but the first couple episodes did leave me wanting to see how the bumbling father will use the rich guy to make her daughter's life better. (besides having the rich guy falling in love with the girl).
