Baccano 9! was probably the most gruesome episode to date. Much maniacal laughing occurred.
On the flip side~
Shugo Chara 1-3! Think Full Moon wo Sagashite or Sailormoon, but with a younger cast. Magical items, magical transformations, magical beings, cutesy school uniforms, magical outfits with ribbons, casting evil aside with attacks that involve shouting engrish--it has it all. The funny thing is that the characters lay hatch eggs that reveal their hidden character in the form of a chibi fairy-type thing. The main character, Amu, who is called the 'spicy and cool' girl that the school worships wishes she had a normal persona. Shugo Charas (guardian characters) hatch to motivate her to change. There are 'evil' people looking for an embryo. There are also bad eggs who attack. If there isn't some perverse undertone to this show, there couldn't be a 'humpty lock' magical change trinket, but there is. Anyway, it's well-made and cute.
