Baccano 2-3! starts out with a couple, Isaac and Miria, unsuccessfully digging for gold in California. They decide to rob a train, the Flying Pussyfoot, and head to New York to visit someone. Well, they rob someone and get on the train. Also on the train are people who will take the train hostage in exchange for their (vampire?) leader who apparently will be going to trial in NY. There's also a group of scarred people who want to rob the train? Jacuzzi Splot turns out to be a scarred(tattoo-ed?), spineless, young boy. As with the previous episodes, episode 3 starts out following another group of characters that eventually crossover to what's happening on the train. The humor is quirky and unexpected. There appeared to be one more person wanting to rob the train. It's a well-directed story almost like a classic western mystery; one with vampires or the undead. I like how distinct all the characters are and their odd names. I'm guessing Firo and his hat-tricks made him a fan-favorite; though, this show doesn't really have fanservice.
