in Nodame Cantabile 10! If there was no Nodame, this series would be some sort of yaoi comedy and of course, they'd have to change the title. Another fun Chiaki-loving character is introduced as someone who wants to replace Kiyora as concert master. This series is much better at portraying potentially hot boys love than that too-gay Boys Love movie which had the most inane plot and bland acting ever created. It did have a nice dvd cover.
I had thought that chibi-Noda was familiar and she is. The young actress also played chibi-Nobuko from Nobuta wo Produce. Moving on...Nodame's competition pieces were interesting. I'm wondering if the pieces are the ones that the mangaka actually wrote about in the manga...I guess I will have to read the manga. But really, the series feels like it just started even though it is almost over. No symphonic concert has ever moved me to tears, but the series really does convey how dynamic music can be. Nodame's anger in her situation is familiar. *weep*
The anime definitely has to be great to top the drama..and maybe I will start reading the manga. I will definitely miss Tamaki Hiroshi and Ueno Juri...I will have to stalk them and see what else they are in. (I did watch Ueno Juri in Josee the Tiger and the Fish...where she was the jealous girlfriend. It's amazing what a great role and haircut can do to how an actress is perceived.)
