Fly Daddy (kmovie) is a remake of the Japanese movie, Fly Daddy Fly. After that overdose on almost all of Lee Jun Ki's works months back, little did I expect his new movie would be running around on the internet so soon.

Basically, the movie is about a middle-aged salaryman whose daughter was assaulted by a high school boy. The man expects authorities to do something, but they don't because the boy's father is in politics and the boy is a boxing champ/pride of the school. The man tries for physical revenge, but fails. Enter hot boy. Go Seung-su and his friends decide to train the man so he can fight the boy.

Although this ran almost 2 hours, it felt like an afterschool special...with no real deep morals to mention. *spoilers* Salaryman faces his fears, bad boy gets humiliated and pretty boy is...still pretty.

Good points? Not many. I could run down the list of mediocrity, but I did enjoy it for its simplicity. OR maybe because of the visual candy...*pika pika*.

Hwangjiny 13-14! I began rewatching the first few episodes with subtitles. The gisaeng training is more interesting and Eun-ho, is still bland, but I'm assuming his pure love is what remains in Jiny's memories after his death. In 13 and 14, Jiny and her rival squabble some more before the dance competition (not really a competition..can't think of the word right now). What happens?

Her rival convinces the other girls to change the dance. Jiny looks like she messes up, but is able to recover. Before the dance Kim Jae-won told her that she should dance because of happiness (not competition or anger) or something sappy like that. Because of his talk, she had Eun-ho in her mind and was able to recover and improvised the crane dance with a sword. So pretty The council decided that Jiny was in the wrong since they were told she messed up on her own. The persistent rich guy once again tried to speak up for her. Give it up man. KJW told her she had to go back and train with the her old troop. Jiny was just beginning to warm up to KJW before this happened, but she was told that he was using her for political gain.

It's a little irritating that she shows great intelligence in some scenes, but allows herself to be lied to when it suits the purpose of angsty scenes. Wish the writers would be more consistent.

BUT in 15-16, Jiny recovers some intelligence. New dances and arts are explored, too. KJW gets some action before leaving...well, as much action as kdrama gets.

In other news, I got a cute rotary kit for myself....muwha hahahahaa.
