Here's a preview of proof that Menudo never died; they moved to Japan. It's a preview of Yamapi's newest project with Thai pop stars, GYM, which stand for Golf, Yamapi and Mike...yeah...clever. I think Yamapi is corrupting the younger boys with his bad Johnny fashion and corny dancing. (replaced the bad link)
Here is Creature Creature's debut PV for Paradise. They have 2 other singles, Red and Kaze no Tou with PVs also uploaded by the same nice person who uploaded Paradise...if you feel the need to stare at the scary vocalist some more, click on the uploader's name. Tetsu (from L'arc en Ciel) is pretty cute though. He gets to wear some awesome clothes...well, mostly the skirts and pants thing that he likes...and he has some very stylishly cut hair in the one video.
hm...I should rec some female artists every once in a while...
Rie Fu has replaced Maaya Sakamoto as the jpop female singer with the prettiest music. Maaya sans Yoko Kanno equals lame anime pop. Rie Fu is a female artist whose known for her impeccable english skills and soothing, pleasant tunes. I guess living in Maryland while a child and the current schooling in London accounts for her nice english. If I were into karaoke-ing in Japan, her songs would be the easiest to try. 'Until I Say' is her newest single. I am fond of I so wanted and Tiny Tiny Melody.
short comment about Youtube-- It's great search site for videos. But it has ugly ads...and uglier people who like to upload themselves singing badly. It's fun when they do it on purpose for laughs, but seriously, it's arrogant of them to say "here's me singing acapella because i suck at singing with music. I've disabled the comments and rating option because people were mean to me "(ie. telling the truth). Or you get the "here's my first music video. it sucks but please take a look and be nice." I'm all for freedom of expression, but it kinda sucks when you have to sift through the garbage because people can't take criticism. There shouldn't be the option to turn-off comments and ratings...those were designed to make the search function work better. ~ah, that all.
