Melchior lies still, unconscious first from shock but as his blood collects around him on the ground, the chances of him coming to on his own start to dwindle. The gash across his chest is considerable, his right nipple an unfortunate victim that cannot be recovered, and his stomach and ribs will be sore when he awakes from where O-Ren kicked him and possibly cracked (or broke) a rib or two. Thankfully Melchior feels no pain, though that side effect of his growing loss of blood may soon not compensate for the fact that his life is slowly draining out of him.
