Anagnorisis

Noun
  • The moment in the plot of a drama in which the hero makes a discovery that explains previously unexplained events or situations.
Used in a sentence:
  • Unless the third act contained some kind of anagnorsis to help explain the gaping plot holes in this movie, the critic would have to purchase a thesaurus just to be able to use the word terrible over and over.

Commentary:

Following up from last week’s Greek word we have another Greek word. You could probably tell from the use of g and n beside each other. This word seemed particularly appropriate since this article series is to help me with my writing.
