Writing Time: Everlasting #31, Science Future #1

Wow it’s been way too long since I did an update. Well over a month. That isn’t to say I haven’t been writing I just haven’t updated. Actually I haven’t been writing as much as I should but life is hectic lately. But today I got a solid three hours of writing in and I felt like I should update. So here you go!
Everlasting Update
Draft Word Count: 87,367 (Delta: +5,561[36] Delta: +561)
Everlasting has been progressing and apparently a fast as can be expected! I calculated a delta for this post since it had been 36 days since my last update. Since I write for about 2 hours twice a week, I have a word count goal of one thousand words per session. But since adopting Science Future I’ve been (supposedly) limiting myself to two hours a week on Everlasting. So that comes out to be an expected five thousand words. That means I’m actually five hundred and sixty-one words positive over my expected word count. Now I know I wasn’t working on Science Future the entire time but I’m still proud of myself.
Everlasting itself is going well. I’ve finally gotten to an exciting part again which means I think the next few scenes will get written very quickly. As my last post points out, I spent a few sessions working on writing group stuff rather than actually writing. I’m not suffering from an “oh this sucks” moment, because well I know it sucks but I’m going to finish it anyway.
I also now have some negotiations going with an artist to do some character sketches of my main characters so I may have those to share in the near future!

Anomalous Writing Update
So the writing group has shrunk mostly. These days it is mostly just Marie and myself, with Steph appearing ill-regularly due to vacations and when her other writing group joins us. Jeana moved on to greater pastures and I’ve made some strides in creating a digital presence for Anomalous Writing to exist in but so far it hasn’t really flourished. Still with just the two and a half of us, we’re progressing on. I plan to work a bit more on achievements soon and active recruiting obviously needs to be done. I’m just not completely sure how.
Science Future Update
Science future is live! You can read the introductory post here, and the first real article here! I’ll be making a more formal post tomorrow announcing it so those of you who keep track of Writing Time get the first heads up! The first article is about portable power and was one of the submission posts I made. Now I really need to get cracking and write some more posts, which is what I’ll be doing after I finish this entry.
