Ken Jennings is the
74 time Jeopardy Champion. In 2004, he claimed the honors of being the longest streak winner in Jeopardy and all-time leading money winner in American game shows. The other day he earned the prestigious award of Nojh’s Funniest Smart Guy Ever.
I came across Ken Jennings while he was on Jeopardy during a historic event: IBM Watson, a super computer, competed against Ken Jennings and Brad Rutter in Jeopardy and won. Twice.
Hence why Ken Jennings went onto Reddit the other day and named himself WatsonsBitch and held an AMA (Ask Me Anything).
He also wanted to promote his book Brianiac which focuses on trivia and the people who love it across America and the world.
The AMA is hilarious. Ken shows as much keen wit for humor as for trivia and knowledge offering us such quotes as:
“I remember COUNTRY MUSIC kept showing up. That or HOCKEY. Least favorite categories. Basically anything with a mullet is my Jeopardy kryptonite.”
“Old people can’t keep their dry, lilac-scented hands off me. Man, do old people ever love Jeopardy. I can’t go anywhere in public where there might be old people, like Hallmark stores or cemeteries.”
and
Question: “Will you be the leader of the Resistance against Watson once he starts to control Skynet? Please, and thank you.”
KJ: “Once we are all working in the slave-pits together, I will try to put in a good word for you all. I will be like the old Barnard Hughes character in Tron, who remembers the Master Control Program when it was just accounting software.”
Nuff said.
