Eclipse Phase - An Experiment
In other news the PDF and pre-orders for Eclipse Phase was released. Whats interesting is that they released the PDF for a $50 dollar book fore $15 bucks. Which is amazingly low relative to current PDF prices of RPG books.
Here is the really interesting part. Apparently EP is being released under the creative commons license specifically:

What this means is that I now own a copy of the PDF of Eclipse Phase and I'm free to share it whom I wish. The economic theory is that someone will read it and if they start to use it enough, they'll either 1) Want the physical copy or 2) Feel the need to pay/support creative works. I'm hoping the system works.
SO! If you are interested in this book but don't have $15 dollars to spend, I can share it with you, on the theory that you'll read it and decide that if you're going to make use of it, you'll purchase the PDF at least.
