Disney is back! Hopefully!
Disney is doing 2d animation again!!! (For those of you who have known this, sorry but I just heard about it) They have slated in 2009 a full length 2d animation movie The Princess and the Frog!

Now mind you I'm not likely to go see this movie since, well, the title doesn't sound all that interesting nor geared towards me. But I grew up on Disney movies and when Eisner, may he burn in hell, said 2d animation was dead I wanted to strangle him.
As I've come to understand it, although I can't offer you much proof, Pixar has actually been wandering over to Disney and going 'okay.. this is what you need to fix' which will lead to changes such as less bad direct-to-blue-ray sequels (no I don't think they are stopping them completely, sorry, they make too much money) and the rebirth of the animation studio.
So all my artist friends out there, pull out your sketch pads. Maybe Disney will be hiring again soon. ;)
