The Roar of the Big Machines!
I really love noises, especially clanging, banging things. I thought that the construction beside my house really wouldn't be that bad. Fuck, was I ever wrong!
This past week, I have been rudely awoken to the shaking of my whole being, rattling of my windows, light fixtures, and anything else that isn't bolted down. All in the name of CONDO LAND!!!!
Imagine to my surprise, that they really are taking over a tiny piece of land next door, to build yet one more of these yuppie pits.
It seems that I may be alone in this, but I don't understand how they can continue to take over. Montreal has the lowest vacancy rate in Canada, yet thousands of people still can't find a decent apartment. HELLO! Instead of throwing away wads of cash on something that is basically an over-priced apartment anyway, why not develop reasonably priced buildings that people can rent.
Not everyone in their late 20s, early 30s are inclined to join the fray, and buy a condomonium. (not a typo)
