Finally, I got to see 28 Days Later today. Danny Boyle's less is more direction was bloody brilliant! No pun intended. ;) I haven't seen a film of this caliber in quite a while. It reminded me of a BBC series I saw a while back, but can't fucking remember what it was called at the moment.
This is just what I needed to get me in the mood for the upcoming Fantasia Festival. After looking over the A to M listing that is now out on their site, I have selected 5 films so far, below are my choices in no particular order. With the exception of the 1st one.
Beyond Re-animator starring Jeffrey Combs, the 3rd installment. YEAH!
Hypnotic, Maléfique, My Little Eye, and Mucha Sangre also caught my attention.
Ichi The Killer (I've already seen, but if tickets aren't too expensive, I might see it again with a large group.
Onward to the insanity that is July 1st, Montreal's official swapping apartments day! Thankfully, this year I did not partake in any of it. It's too bad in rained on all the poor suckers who did though. HEH
Someone in my building had thrown away an old sofa, which I saw on my way out this afternoon. When I returned this evening it was gone. It was a nice wooden bench, the only thing missing from it was the actual seat part. It would have been great for my backyard. :( Damn those garbage pickers, couldn't they have at least waited until tomorrow.
Oh well, no free furniture for this girl. :(
