Been out quite a bit recently, which is a good thing. Things are not perfect, but there's been bright spots in the past few days.
Saturday, GenCon bookings were confirmed, as was the folks' car - thank you Mom and Dad! Sunday, I went to Dave's (
luciancarter ) for Wrestlemania 23.
thebitterguy was kind enough to pick me up and drop me off in the Supercar - I always enjoy riding in Smart Cars 'cause it's so freaking deceptive. The outside looks tiny, but I swear that a 7 foot dude could sit in one with not too much in the way of cramping. The company and pizza was good, Dave's place is very convieniently located, but the show was ass. Justin was all like 'we should have live blogged this' but I didn't bring my laptop - which I was regretting during some of the matches. Only the company made it all that entertaining. I was pretty pissed that Shawn Michaels couldn't be bothered to put on his usual decent showing, but him and Cena was a huge drag.
Monday was doctors appointments and dinner out with
spaceanddeath and
brand_of_amber at Kama Indian Buffet - It was good, though I wasn't hungry as I wanted to be. However, it was really good to catch up and hear India stories and so forth. It made me wish that I'd gotten a bit more travel in recently. I've seen a lot of movies, a lot of TV, but I haven't been anywhere of late. I also haven't gotten in much tabletop gaming of late, but I'm hoping to change that.
Yesterday, I did in fact grab Gary and we went to see The Lookout, which is an amazing movie. People should totally go and see it - the acting and the story are both great. In retrospect, I think the ending was a bit abrupt, but it was otherwise awesome. I <3 Joseph Gordon-Levitt.
Been doing a lot of work on how I think lately - it's been interesting, and it's giving me perspective. I think it might help.
