I saw this wonderful art book at Fully Booked, entitled "Beautiful People and Their Beautiful Feelings" by Donny Miller (advertising genius!)
It had these Roy Liechtenstein-like illustrations of people accompanied by a cynical, condescending, or simply sad and sorry thought printed on the page. Among those I remember were:
1) I don't hate you. I resent you
That means I love you, but it's pointless.
2) Your favorite person has the potential
to become your least favorite person.
3) Everyone in the world is an asshole.
Except you.
4) Let's tell each other our darkest secrets, so that when something goes wrong,
we can use them against each other.
5) We are at that stage in our relationship where I'm willing to sleep with anyone but you.
6) I'm too beautiful for the world!
A day of hanging out at Bonifacio High Street to derive inspiration for my design jobs. I missed Fully Booked! My mom bought me this Layout Look Book, for ideas and inspiration. Yay! Thanks for the libre, mumi! Art books are soooo expensive. But I save up for them. I have like a mini library now of art/design books, as well as graphic novels, that I'd be glad to share. :) I haven't been able to afford them regularly though since my coffee habit started. Kilala na nga ako ng mga barista sa Coffee Bean & Tea Leaf ng Greenbelt, Powerplant, and The Fort e! Hahaha! I really need to cut down next sem.
