My sister comissioned my help in making puppets for an orphanage outreach her friend was organizing. Because there wasn't much time, we only made flat puppets from illustration boards and decided that we'd just attach barbecue sticks at the back for mobility. It's based on a Mga Kwento ni Lola Basyang series of books by local author Christine Belen. (Ever had one of those bilingual English and Filipino fully-illustrated children's books - where the Filipino text is on the same page, right below the English - lying around the house?) These are characters for Ang Parusa ng Duwende*.
Top: Duwende
L-R: Tias, Mang Dencio, Aling...er, I really don't recall whatsername.
Mang Dencio!
I know, they're badly lit! Haha!

*Really oversimplified story, even for a children's book. Its limited characters, setting, and plot development made it the easiest choice for a puppet show with only 3 hours of production time. Hehe.
