..\\ CLOSEST FRIENDS
"Just…promise me our love won’t end."
Anyone who meets Haruhi knows immediately of her connection to Frederic, as she's been dating him for many weeks, and even living with him. As time has passed, Haruhi has started to wonder if this relationship will last. After all, he's in love with his work - does he really have room in his heart for her? Time will only tell.
"I'm glad you're doing well though."
Haruhi treasures Lyserg as one of her closest and dearest friends - knowing that she can trust him with just about anything, and he'll look out for her. She finds it intriguing that he seems so mature for his age - much like herself - and it's probably the reason behind her deep friendship with him. She appreciates how often he's there for her when she's having a moment of trouble.
"Just tell me if there is any okay? You know, you can talk to me."
Haruhi considers Ino to be her best friend - aside from Frederic. She's never really had a female best friend before, so isn't sure exactly what two girls are supposed to do together as friends. Shopping, dressing up in clothes? Perhaps those are just things Ino likes, but Haruhi puts up with them anyway. Haruhi also finds Ino to be amusing in the ways of men - often facepalming when seeing her heavy flirtations.
"So -- you're to me like a sister I've never had, and I like that feeling."
Despite that Haruhi has only just met Alto, she's suddenly clicked with him, seeing a part of her personality that's similar to his. She feels as if he's the older brother she never had, and treats him as such. She cares quite deeply for him.
"You're family which means you can't be a burden."
Maes Hughes has captivated Haruhi in a very unique way - she finds herself looking up to him almost like a father, or even better - the fun uncle you always want to be around. It can be guaranteed that if times get very hard for Haruhi, that Hughes will be one of the first people on her list to run to for help.
"It must have been....nice... having a mother that cared..."
Kanna has impressed Haruhi through and through - despite that some still see her as creepy, Haruhi sees her as just a little girl, scared and confused about the world. She sees herself in her, and has decided she wishes to give Kanna the loving family that every little girl deserves to have - and the mother Haruhi never got to have herself.
..\\ FRIENDS AND ACQUAINTANCES
"People think you're a boy?"
From someone she was aggrivaited with, to a very one-sided friendship - Haruhi doesn't seem to care that Miharu is distant from her at this pont. She actually finds it to be quite an exciting challenge - let's see how long it takes him to finally buckle and admit she's one of his friends! She's unsure what to think of this... person... he speaks of all the time. But they can't be that bad either, right?
"Thank you...you don't have to give me anything..."
Silver is hardly close to Haruhi, but she still respects and worries about him from time to time. If she sees him having a problem, she'll waste no time in asking what's wrong and if she can help in any way. She seems him as a person who, despite his looks, has a soft and gentle heart - that's the kind of friend she wants to have around her.
"I'd like to hear you sing sometime, I bet you're pretty good."
Sheryl certainly seems nice enough, and Haruhi's sure she'll get to know the singer better through her 'brother' Alto. It seems Alto has some feelings for Sheryl, and Haruhi simply wants him to be happy. Perhaps finding out more about her would let her make sure she's a good match for him?
"If anything we should be grateful that we have such a considerate neighbor."
At first, Haruhi thought that Demyx was a little strange. He seemed awful perky and happy to talk to her for someone who knew nothing about her. However in the few other times she's spoken to him, he's begun to slowly grow on her. He softened her rather bitter outlook on the loud and destructive neighbors Organization XIII.
"Hm. You are a strong tempered girl. I am certain your father appreciates that."
Zexion holds a strange place in Haruhi's heart. He acts like he's cold, mean, and bitter, and yet there's always just a hint of something nice trying to peek through. She doesn't want to push any friendship with him, but is always a bit happy when he does pop up somewhere, to say something to her.
"You seem like you'll be a great help!"
At first, finding out that Jack was indeed a skeleton frightened Haruhi - but that soon passed as she heard bits and pieces of his kindness from others, Frederic included. He seems like such a friendly person, and Haruhi is honored to assist him with his Halloween event.
"My, you must certainly be bored! ♪"
Xerxes is a little strange, yes... but who isn't around here? Haruhi enjoys a lively conversation now and then, and this is one person she can definitely get it from.
She likes Emily too... and yes, is VERY aware that Emily doesn't really exist.
It seems Haruhi doesn't care.
..\\ ENEMIES
"Of course. Until then, young woman."
Doctor Tomoe is the root of all evil in Haruhi's mind. She's caught in between a protective nature due to how he hurt Frederic, and complete fear that one day he may attack and harm her in some way. She does her best to keep up a brave front around him, trying not to let him see her sweat - often staging battles of word with him whenever possible. It doesn't do anything in the long run, but gives her temporary relief.
"Just saying, kids ain't my thing."
Haruhi isn't really sure what to think about Reeve right now. He is evil, tained, however with whispers of him involved with Tomoe from Kanna, Haruhi has to sit back and question if he's being used like Frederic was. Frederic insists that Reeve isn't like this, and Haruhi believes him to a point. But why would someone who's good... kill their own creation? It baffles her.
"So you were only saying such things due to outside influence."
Blaze isn't so much an 'enemy' as an 'annoyance' to Haruhi. As the girl treasures her relationship to Silver, she sees Blaze as being cold and uncaring about someone else's emotions. Also as Haruhi suggested they try and be friends and start anew - and Blaze rejected - Haruhi finds herself feeling a little insulted.... so had decided to avoid speaking with her from now on.
