Today was awesome. I woke up really optimistic about my audio midterm... it started at 9:30am, but I really feel good about it. Then I went back to my place and cleaned up (and cleaned my car). Next I went to the film studio to splice together my stuff, and it looks pretty good so far. Then I picked up Brett at the market and went back to my place. We went out for a late lunch at City Steam... they put us at the bar and it was pretty loud. But I saw my math teacher from 12th grade! Anywho, we talked a lot, and it turns out we hate all of the same things. People not saying thank you, scuffing feet, children, animal cruelty, homophobes, stupid pedestrians, misogynists, tomatoes... and so on. He is the only person I have ever met that has agreed with two of my ideas - that america needs more riots, and that we should ban testing on animals and test on death row inmates. We had some good food, talked about a lot of films, shared some stories. Then we went back to my app and played guess who and pet the rats. We hung out for a bit and Jess and Michiel showed up... We wanted to go to the mall to get ice cream, but they couldn't come, so we went to Buckland anyway. Well, first we went to best buy to get his nephew a birthday present (Nephew? yea, he doesn't look like 26 at all). Oh and I found out that there is a Jazz Singer box set... I want it! Then we went to Friendly's and got sundaes. For some reason, the topic of the day was marriage and children... and how we thing the country is handling both of them incorrectly. Then we just walked around a bit, then I drove him back to his car and etc etc. Oh, he drives a fat kid! You know, the kind of chubby car that runs on cupcakes. Like Craig's but blue. I'm going to see if I can let him tag along when I go to Rockville USA next week because I really want to help him get into the Hollywood East movement.
Andrew JK should be coming over tomorrow. Not quite sure what we're going to do tomorrow. How about Wadsworth? There's a contemporary show on now that I really want to see... or we could go see Persepolis at Real Art Ways... or we could walk to Bushnell Park. All very plausible.
However, I have not watched Ken Park yet. Not in the right mood I suppose. Returned Julien, Masc-Femm is next on the list. Oh, I let Brett borrow the Tin Drum... it's a must see for any film buff.
I should have added this to a post before, but the TV show I hopefully get to help on features the guy who played Dr. Dan in Palindromes!
