Apparently, my mother hung out with John Kerry in college.
Well, he was touring colleges to speak out against the horror of the Vietnam War. And after he spoke, he didn't have anywhere to stay. My mom was an RA, so she said that even though it's not allowed, he could stay with her.
According to her, they spent a lot of time talking about the war, why he was in it (he felt he needed to protect his country), if they were shooting civilians and all that stuff. He was very much against it.
She never found out his name and he left early the next morning.
It wasn't until recently when she saw pictures of him when he was younger that she was like WTF%@#%
