best present
My brother found the videotape of the 1998 Sacramento "SLACKFEST" SubGenius Devival that I gave him in 2000 or 2001 and gave it to me this Christmas, which was in fact a great present because I have been wanting to see it for a darn long time. I also bought a DVD/VCR recorder thingus which will allow me to transfer various UBERKUNST videotapes to digital media--and if I can figure out how to do some video editing (or have a friend do it) I could create the UBERKUNST live-show video collection I have been talking about doing for a while.
I watched part of the video, including my opening invocation/monologue. I have learned a few things about public speaking in the (egads!) 11 years since that show, including important skills like not running back and forth on the stage like a beheaded chicken.
