frick ding blast bike thieves
So apparently the big sturdy lock on my garage door was sturdy enough, but not the hasp it was attached to. Some numbnuts made off with my bike AND the Noisefest PA and speakers, which leaves me one bike short for a "historic bike ride" event I was going to help with next week, and leaves us one PA short for the Noisefest in October.
But they didn't make off with any of my tools, and didn't get into the rest of the house (the doors are all wired, EXCEPT for the garage because I meant to replace it with a better, something I intend to correct ASAP) and a replacement hasp won't be too expensive. I'll see what I can do about a loaner for the bike and the PA...I don't really use either that much anyhow, so I don't know if I want to bother buying new ones.
