Wow... I had an auto draft saved from like ions ago which totally doesn't apply anymore, especially after the last week I had.

I've had so many plates up in the air lately that it's starting to get hard to keep track of which one is next and which one I've already dropped. There are so many options and paths for me to follow and I have no idea which one to take let alone which ones to let pass me by. I want to be able to balance so many different things, keep my options as open as then can be but I'm not sure if that's at all feasible. So maybe I should put them all out on paper and try to figure out where to go from here.

---Bridgeport Bluefish--- So I didn't get the job there that I had applied for. They will be interviewing for that position again since someone else has left to go to a bigger sports organization. They did offer me a sales internship which would be a great start provided that I knew it lead to a real job. It's no benefits and a salary of $500 a month, they do hire up to four interns at the end of the year. In this economy I really can't take that kind of risk.

---CBS--- So I'm still here. For the duration, as long as that may be. I've been trying to get into our CT Radio Sales office but that has been a dead end for awhile. Planning would be the next logical step, but they just hired two new people within the last six months so unless someone else leaves I'm kind of stuck. That positions is also an increase in hours and my dad is pretty long to begin with as it is. That may just run my ass completely into the ground.

---Grad School--- This is still up in the air. I can't seem to get my waiver from the state department of education. That's the last piece of the puzzle that I need before I get an interview. After looking over my transcripts from college it might be a tough sell to get in. I didn't take nearly enough math classes, but that's because I passed out of them and then it really didn't fit into my electives. I may take some undergrad classes online first to boost my grades but I don't know yet. Can you even do that after you get a diploma?

---Navy Reserve--- This would be an add on to any job/school I would go to. It does bring a small addition to my paycheck which would be nice. The commitment isn't too grueling, one weekend a month two weeks in the summer, and the Navy was always something I talked about doing. Add to the fact that our current war is with two land locked countries it's hard for navy ships to be sent there. Not that I couldn't be stationed somewhere else if the unit is activated. There is a base out of Stamford and I can focus on communications and media which would be kind of awesome to work at from the military stand point.

---Umpiring--- I am trying to sell my soul to my assigner for the season but it's hard to do when you work in the city till 6pm. There are a bunch of triple crown tournaments coming up and I intended to do as many games a day as my knees will allow. Hopefully I can grab up some Saturday varsity games if they have any to compensate that a little bit more. I was already told that I'm working the 15u State Tournament in July in Orange (I worked the Regional last year) and even though that's pro bono it's still a lot of fun and a good test of mechanics and skill.

---Coaching/Scouts--- God would I love to start doing both again. I guess Delaware Raritan council needs leaders like woah because they've been harrassing me with volunteer forms and re-registration and everything. Even if I did pick up a troop again it would be up in CT anyways so I don't know why they still push. With the hours I work I can't commit to giving up that much time to a group of kids. I would hate to have to keep bailing out on things. Plus meetings or practice that starts after 8pm isn't the smarts for kids either. I would love to just coach and umpire (maybe work a summer camp) for the my real job. There's that funny thing about benefits and relying on the weather for your paycheck that just doesn't sit too well with me. I'm still going to fill out the GS volunteer form and maybe I can do some events on weekends in and around umpiring.

So that's the basic things that are being tossed up in the air at the moment. But the'res a moneky on the side with a whole stack of dishes waiting to add to the pile. I need to start sorting through them all and throwing away the ones that are not feasible.
