Rockin' it at Ümloud
Jade and I thoroughly enjoyed Ümloud last night. While there were some truly cringe-worthy geek moments (as only drunken gamer-geeks can perpetrate), the vast majority of bands simply rocked the DNA. The costumes were great, the energy was high, and the overall vibe was supportive and positive. I wished I'd had a chance to put together a band and buy a song, but perhaps that's something to consider for next year.
A pleasant bonus was that we actually won something in the raffle. With the exception of a 6-pack of Jello pudding and an ugly table centerpiece, neither of us had ever won a raffle. All that karma was repaid last night when we walked away with this bad baby. If Ümloud hadn't already instilled in me a desire to play Rock Band again, the prize certainly has. We's gonna rock out tonight!
