Robbed!

I was robbed at gunpoint this past Tuesday night (well, Wednesday morning). I had just dropped off my friend at her apartment on 13th and Ogden, and I waited for her to get inside and made sure she was in the building and locked the door behind her, and then I drove around looking for a parking space. I found a spot around the corner and parked. I was walking north on the east side of Ogden street between 12th and 13th when I saw a white truck driving past going the opposite direction, pretty slow, like... cruising - or something. It was one of these big trucks you can hear for a long ways away, and I heard it idle then stop, like they had parked. The next thing I knew I heard two sets of footsteps running up behind me. I had a bad case of dejavu because I've been mugged once before (back in 1999 at Civic Center bus station) and you know nobody runs up on you in the middle of the night unless they're going to try and roll you. I was looking for a way out, but I couldn't get away, and then they were on me. I turned around and the first thing I see is this short hispanic dude with a black hoodie and a blue bandana over his face. He pulls up this gun and cocks it, the barrel is right between my eyes and he says "You know what this is, gimme what you got." I thought "Is this for real? Is that a real gun?" But I said "My wallet's in my back pocket." and I reached for it. He grabbed my arm and spun me around then jammed the gun into the back of my head while taking my wallet. While this was happening the other guy grabbed my backpack and said "What you got in here?" but he shook it and could tell it was empty. They took the cash out of my wallet (maybe $13) and dropped the wallet and the backpack then took off running back the way they came. I was scared to death but I remembered that I still had my moblie phone and I immediately dialed 911 and started running down the middle of the street chasing after them. I saw them get into the white truck and speed off, but I couldn't see the license plate number. They went south on Ogden then turned east on 12th. By this time the cops had arrived at the front of the apartment building so I went back there and gave them my statement. They gave me a clipboard to write it out, but before I could finish they got a call that they had been pulled over and they needed me to come with them to ID these guys. I was so relieved when we pulled into the parking lot of Safeway in Cherry Creek and I saw that truck. They had these guys and I could tell it was the same dudes, and I guess they had my cash in the glove box and the gun under the seat. Today the detective called me and said they got the charges and so far that's all I know. I hope these guys get convicted because they probably have done this to other people and would keep doing it, too.
