According to Demandprogress, [link] the committee was dead set on voting for SOPA but due to all the work from us users, the bills Lead Sponsor saw our concerns and took SOPA off the table before it could be voted upon.

However, they want to try again in January and no word has been given on whether it will be any different than what it is now and it's sister-bill, IP Protection Act, is still a threat.
Honestly, the only reason for this bills existence is so current big wigs can continue to live the good life off of our money and so the government can control what we say, see and hear...
This is COMMUNISM people. Stand up for your country and set an example for the world to follow. Oppose this bill and oppose this manner of thinking from corporations and governments alike.
