SOS at the Armory
I just signed up for SOS at Community Space at the Armory this year. It costs a lot more, but last year sales were dismal for me at SOS. I think it's gotten so big that people don't come by the one-offs so much, and while I'm not entirely off the beaten path (being rather close to the Armory) I am not directly on the main drag, either. No one will stop by by chance or on a whim. So I'm going to see if being in the group space where there might be much more traffic (and better conditions if the weather isn't cooperative) will help my sales.
I dunno. I almost decided not to do it at all, but then I didn't do a Christmas show (not only feeling bad from SOS, but mostly because it was the Most Insane Semester EVER and there was no way I could take the time to get into the studio or do a show.)
I am doing some very different things now, using new techniques, so if you haven't seen my work for a few years (yeah, we saw it all back in '09) it's very different now.
