I realized all of my latest entries are weird, short cryptic thoughts that really have nothing to do with anything. Time for a real entry, because . . .
I AM STUCK AT HOME WHILE MY PARENTS ARE IN AUSTRALIA! Yes, I am a little jealous. But oh well. This means they won't ask me dumb questions during the World Cup final, I suppose.
Today I went furniture shopping to get stuff for my new house. I managed to find cheap stuff that all matched, as well as an amazingly comfortable queen-sized mattress - the kind you just sink into and never want to leave. This could be dangerous, especially because I just got soft new sheets and have five amazing pillows. But after two three years in dorm beds, I think I deserve it!
Even though I get to the end of the day wondering what I accomplished, I usually manage to stay pretty busy: reading, watching the World Cup, working out, practicing, trying to get a bit of color on my skin without getting burnt - those things alone pretty much fill up my day. But life is sure to pick up soon: in a couple of weeks, I'll be moving all my furniture into my WW house with Miss Lynette, and then a week or two after that, Annea and I are going on a road trip to Disneyland! It's sure to be epic. Somewhere in between, I have jury duty and some choir performances, as well as my weekly trips to Seattle for voice lessons. I'm glad this summer is flying by because I sure miss all of my friends!
I have been having some weird dreams lately:
1. Half the people in the world were given a sign on their forehead that somehow made them superior to the rest of us, who could not see the sign. Naturally, they decided to kill us, so I was hiding from them and a friend of mine (who happens to be the sweetest girl in the world) tried to kill me. I woke up with sleep paralysis for a few seconds (that happens during REM sleep, which is primarily when you dream) and panicked because I couldn't move and, in my dream, someone was holding me down.
2. Whitman decided I had to go and spend a year in high school. I spent it at Bellingham High School (which is a school in the town where I live, but not the one I went to) and remember thinking, "My college classes go way more in depth than these ones do," and wondering why the heck I had to be a college senior in high school. It was mildly terrifying.
3. Finally, I had a creepy dream where I woke up (not in real life; in my dream) with a bird in my hair. Then when I tried to get it out, it's claw tore off and got stuck in my hair. I ran outside of my room only to realize that there were holes all over the house that birds were entering. I then found two more birds in my hair. Yuck!
So anyway, there's a real update for you. Hope this entertained those of you stuck at work/home/in the land of boredom!
