Packing for Kink Event
So, I'm heading out to Dark Odyssey tomorrow morning chauffered by the always fabulous Skian. We're also picking up Raven Kaldera as a passenger. Skian has organized a cabin of queer, gender bent kinky freaks and their friends/allies. Wheee!
I'm having issues deciding what to pack. One kind Bear suggested tossing panties into my bag and being done with it. I'm trying to control my tendencies to fag pack* but it's difficult since we'll be traveling in a vehicle with lots of space. Right now I'm planning to toss a pile of lingerie into my bag along with some wrap dresses (since everyone loves those). Oh and my cotton PJs with gnomes on them because GNOMES.
One reason I'm dithering about packing is deciding what to do about some things returned to me. I'm going to talk to a few people there (Raven, Bridget Harrington, etc.) about possible symoblic destruction methods/rituals. The idea of destruction hurts a lot, but I don't want to keep it with me either. This may be a destroying to move forward kind of thing. Or through destruction comes new life--Kali dancing death and life. I don't know. I'm bringing a paper journal, a new pen and time to think.
My expectation for the weekend is that I won't play with anyone new. I may not play at all beyond demo bottoming. I plan to nap, swim naked, talk with people and learn. I also plan to get not end up with heat exhaustion again.
*fag packing is when you bring enough clothes to change your outfit multiple times a day, with all the appropriate accessories and such. Fag packing is not bringing a few basic outfits. Fab packing is about bringing three corsets because you just don't know which you'll be in the mood to wear.
