- Byron Elementary School; April 30th, 2006 -
The Byron High Drama Clubs' production of Fame was this weekend and I must say it went well. It was very good, and I am very happy that Mrs. Richardson is starting to take some risks with the plays now. The play Fame! faces issues like drugs, stripping, dyslexia, etc. etc. and that's different than her usualy comedy. I have to say it's one of the best years ever for the Drama Club.
Sadly it was slightly depressing on the final day because they did the final good byes and everything onstage to all the seniors. Kt and I about busted out crying because it's hard to watch that when just a year ago it was you who was on that stage sobbing because you'll never again be able to grace that stage like the years before. I kept getting asked why I was crying when I wasn't even on stage and everything I told them that that was the point of my crying. I guess you just have to have lived it to know what is going on.
Alex was here during the weekend, I enjoyed his presence. Though unfortunately I did get slightly overwhelmed in the social scene that was the Drama productions and did leave Alex in the dark for some of those times. I must apologize for that because I know from past experiences how bad being ignored can feel but irregardless, it wasn't the best weekend for him to come up but unfortunately he finishes his college semester this weekend and heads home, in Minnesota so there wasn't any other weekends that would be convenient.
He is an awesome guy and if he wasn't so far away I would love to be with him but we both decided, while outside during the tribute video showing, that being together wasn't going to work for either of us. Yet another love gone, unfortunately, just have to look forward to the future and what it possibly has instore for me now.
- Cast Party; Phil Hamiltons House; May 1st, 2006 -
Kt and I were both invited to go to the Cast Party after the final performance of Fame! and ofcourse we agreed, we planned on going anyway. After going to them for two years, it's just customary, especially as a Drama Club alumni. Of course the party was entertaining, they always are and, of course, half the partiers ended up in the pond in the yard. Mind you that it is only the beginning of May, and breezy, and chilly. I jumped in first with Courtney because nobody would, then peer pressured Ethan, who happens to be exceedingly cute, into jumping in. T'was entertaining.
As always with the pond jumping, comes the drunked kare-ee-oo-key singing. Simply magical when fifty sober teenagers turn auto drunk. Plus I got into Carolines pants and 5Ginas shirt, cause I'm hardcore.
Other News: Tax return came and am going to go shopping. Prom is Saturday, how exciting. My birthday is only twenty one days, going to be twenty, how digusting and it's not even a good age cause I'm still not twenty-one. Becky and Chads' wedding is soon, also very exciting, I'm very happy for them. I'm slacking at being an artist hardcore.
