White Collar Rec List

Due to a shortage of Neal & Peter gen fanfictions lately, I re-read some of my favorite WC stories and decided to compile a rec list. Some of these are really old, so they don't take into account what happens in season 4 (making some of them AU).

*g* You weren't even my target group, but I'm glad that there's still a couple of fics on my list you haven't read; I hope you like them. (I pretty much assumed people on my flist have already read everything anyway. So the intention was primarily for newbies to find fanfictions - even though there's a small chance they'd end up on my journal anyway. But I remember being new to fandom - not White Collar fandom, but the first time I lurked around livejournal - and I was always glad for rec lists because once I found someone who had similar interests/a similar taste in fanfictions as me, I could just check out which fanfictions they liked and that made it a whole lot easier for me. So who knows, maybe someday, someone will find their way to my journal, think, "Oh yay, someone else who likes friendship/family" and is glad that I have a rec list up ;)
Anyway, of course there are your fics on here as well, you're one of my favorite authors and I look forward to reading more of your fanfictions :)

Always like seeing someone's rec list. And it is so sad when account goes away. I'm bad at downloading and it's not there for future readers.

Heee, yeah, I love rec lists too, that's why I thought I'd make one myself. But it's also a lot of work, as I just realized. I wanted to continue with "platonic snuggling", but only have two or three fanfictions under that category. I know that I have read more fanfictions like that (and probably also saved them), but the problem is, that it might just be a long h/c ff and the cuddling takes place at the very end, so it's hard to remember which fanfiction it was. (Plus, there's the question if I should categorize it as a "platonic snuggling" or an "H/C" fanfiction...)

Ooh, I wanna snuggling rec list! I'm sure I've read more than I can remember right now!
(Have you read this one? It's a "5 times" thing, so it's almost like 5 different fics:) )

Yeah, I've read that "five times thing" ;) I decided to expand the snuggle list to include such things as hypothermia!fic (with cuddling for warmth) but it's still only a handful. I only ever save the fanfictions I absolutely love and if I haven't saved them, there's no way I remember them (what the title/who the author was or even what it was about. I just know that I've read more fanfictions that fit the theme). Anyway, I'll just keep updating the list, who knows, in a few months (or years or whenever) I might have a bigger rec list... (if I don't decide it's too much work ;)

Answer is not really helpful but all I know is that lstuds deleted her account several months ago. I noticed when I was in my FF.net account and saw the number of stories I had saved had changed. I finally figured out it was her two that were missing. No one else seemed to know what happened either and there is not anywhere to find her stories anymore. Too bad. I liked her writing. I hope everything is OK with her.

Thank you for your rec list. I have read almost all of these before but I haven't read the teenage Neal AU ones. So I think I will check those out. :)

I have no idea why she'd have taken her stuff down. She was one of my (or I guess she *was* my) favorite author over on fanfiction.net. Fortunately, I saved my two favorite fanfictions by her (though I can't rec them without a link, obviously), but she also had a teenage!Neal AU that I hadn't saved because for one, it had a few weaknesses (though I don't want to speak badly about it because I myself couldn't have done it better) and for another, it was very long, about 30 chapters I think and I was just too lazy to save each chapter individually. But now I wish I had saved it...

I would have bet that you had already read all of them *g*, but I'm glad that you didn't. Maybe you like the teenage!Neal AUs, too. It's one of my favorite tropes, but there are hardly any out there.
