having to be 21 to purchase/consume alcohol.  you can be 18 to purchase cigarettes/tobacco products, be over your head in credit card debt and get blown to hell over in iraq.  but no, you can't have a beer.

different laws for different circumstances. it's WAY less likely for a kid to get hurt smoking then it is when they drink, therefore they up'ed the age on it assuming older people are more responsible.

and i'm straight edge, but it's human nature for people to lay judgments on others. the only way it's wrong is if the person never gives them a chance because of what they "think" about them. that's prejudice. it seems like since it'd be you that's triggered, it's different, when really you've probably judge edgers just by knowing that trait and nothing else. i'm straight edge, and yes i do think people are stupid for doing drugs/drinking/endulging in promiscuous sex, so i'm on your shit list, and i really don't care. =)

i still think 18 is old enough to drink. i consider 18 an adult. and i don't believe age is necessarily a factor of responsibility...but more of that person's lifestyle and what they were taught, beliefs and experience that makes them a responsible being.

and yes, i know you are. i respect your own choices and actions, and i feel mine should be respected as well. that goes for everyone.

i enjoy being an alcoholic, what can i say?
