well, I've caught squirrels skinny dipping, but I"ve never seen them water ski
back in moscow again. and this time it feels good to be here. thank goodness. I'm not sure what I'll be doing the rest of the summer. if it works out, I may be backpacking aroudn Montana the rest of the summer, collecting plant data for UI. the onlything about that that I strongly dislike is that it would keep me from practicing all the time and riding my awesome new road bike all the other time. and slackroping. so that's a concern. but we'll see.
I feel like I've figured myself out a little, which makes me feel really good, and after spening two weeks playing trumpet and hanging out with musicians, including an amazing jazz (and classical) trumpet player, John Gronberg, I'm inspired and more in love with playing.
jazz theory is neat, too, whoa! anyone know how to get hands on a Real book?
last night, the rendezvous concert, Jesse Cook, was incredible! I love flamenco, and this guy has done some relaly cool things blending flamenco with other styles and cultures of music. and he was a really really solid, creative player. makes my measley guitar plunking ever more measily and pitiful.
my bike makes motion an afterthought; speed is my new addiction.
