The Sixteenth Death: Family Reunions

[voice - default filter to the Victoria II]

[The journal starts recording with a click. And not just the click of a journal, more like...could that be the click of bone on bone? Nah, couldn't be.]

. . . AH. A COMMUNICATION DEVICE? PERHAPS?

[Yeah, that voice is, to put it lightly, Not Normal. It is, in fact, a Voice, not so much heard as felt in your bones, like lead slabs slamming down with each word. It's lessened over the airwaves but still, wow.

Of course, most peoples minds will simply dismiss this and 'hear' what he's saying.]

A JOURNALING DEVICE THEN?

[There's...a squeaking. An all-caps squeak. Yep.]

THIS IS WHAT YOU HEARD HER OVER? BOTH A JOURNALING DEVICE AND A COMMUNICATOR. THAT SEEMS...OVERLY-COMPLICATED. BEST TO LEAVE IT ALONE THEN, YOU THINK?

[There's a crash, a flap of wings, and a door slamming open. It seems Susan has crashed the party.]

...Grandfather?! What are you doing he-- give me that!

[The post cuts off abruptly.]

[ooc: So, Victoria II! You have an unexpected guest or three! Quoth the Raven won't be sticking around much (not enough eyeballs), but the Death of Rats and, yes, Death himself (and maybe Binky, see below) will be aboard the Victoria II for a few days.

Basically what happened is this: Chi killing the mouse brought the Death of Rats, who heard Susan's voice on Chi's post and figured out she was here. Death, having been very busy lately with matters of mortality, deciding now would be the perfect time to see what his granddaughter is doing on a warship--plus it's been nearly a year since they all saved the Hogfather.

Now, only certain people will be able to see Death for what he is (a seven-foot-tall skeleton in a robe, for reference). This includes: magic users, people with a sensitivity to magic, anyone of particularly mythic origins or circumstances, and von Karma. Some open-minded people who have a sensitivity to death instead of magic and/or have had near-death experiences may be able to see him. Ask away!

The Death of Rats can be seen by most everyone, though quite a few more sensible people (those who don't even believe in/like magic) will have trouble seeing it properly.

Binky is visible to anyone who believes you can get a horse on an airship without having taken it on at port. So, yeah.

Image refs:
- Death himself (he likes kittens)
- Death of Rats (and all rodents, technically--cute, no?)

If you have any questions (good god, the ooc is longer than the post) ask away!]

family reunions, worse than a bogeyman, getting away for a while, not the apocalypse, yes it's a skeleton, what is it now?, hiding out, death's granddaughter, normality? what's that?, that time again already?, whoops my powers are showing, little girl death
