Tonight I headed out to a bar called Stoly's, along with
don_quexada and company. We feasted on an exceedingly mediocre buffet, and were served by a highly over-worked waitress, who was "new" and unfamiliar with, oh, just about everything.
Anyway, as one of the night's attractions, there were fortune-tellers. I got a chance to sit down and get a reading on my career. Here are the main ponits of the upcoming year, as it pertains to my career:
- 2007 will be a good year for me, with lots of windfall and general good fortune. I won't have to worry about money this year.
- My career will undergo a significant change. This could mean a promotion of some sort, but it will definitely be a change for the better.
- I've been waiting for an answer. It will never come
- There is something that I've lost (which I have yet to notice), but I will find it again.
- My dad will figure largely in my life this year. If I have any trouble with my career, he'll be the one I can turn to.
And a few side comments she made, not regarding my career (I think?):
- I ought to start weight-lifting again. I need a way to relief stress.
- Someone new is going to enter my life, and we'll have a lot in common. They'll stick around in my life for a long, long time. She didn't specify whether this would be a love interest or not, though.
Sweet. As a side note, when she sat me down she had me shuffle the cards while thinking about whatever it is I wanted to know about. I did so, and handed back the shuffled cards, all without mentioning my career. Nonetheless, all her predictions were about my career anyway. I really don't think I gave any other indication, verbal or otherwise, that I was interested in learning about my career, so I dunno how she knew.
