It's been an odd couple of days. I met the professor I'll be working with, a Yank auror named Dr. Spencer Reid. I was kind of excited to meet him, because he wrote this paper that I've read over and over about the use of Potions in auror interrogations that's completely innovative and exciting

This isn't.... this isn't how I normally am. I just feel like you've showed up and your enthusiasm, while admirable... I feel like you're running away with this, and I don't operate that way, Beckett. I can't just run into a burning building. I need to have a plan first.

Plans are not my strong point, but I'm willing to try.

Yes... your record is excellent.

Plans are necessary with the type of unsubs I work with. If you don't have a plan there's a higher than average percent chance that you end up dead.

I forget sometimes that even though we're both aurors, the nature of our jobs is so different.

My boss encouraged me to 'work more cooperatively' with you on this assignment. Apparently in my short time here, we've already caused a bit of a stir...
