[Filtered to Faculty and Staff]A student asked a question about sex and how babies are made in their journal. Some of the answers in the responses concern me. There is all sorts of misinformation circulating amongst the students about sex. It makes me fear STDs and unplanned pregnancies for our students ( Read more... )

Won't that just make them mess around all over the castle, though

Dunno about you but I definitely do NOT wanna see that all over the damn place!

Newsflash: they're already having sex. Don't you remember Dumbledore's speech about 'sexual relations in the Prefects' bath'? I just think they should know how to be safe.

OH I KNOW THEY ARE, I just don't wanna see them at it. I don't remember that speech though Won't more of them go at it which all these... extra information?

But hey if you wanna educate 'em knock yourself out. Though if YOU teach the class they might get DISTRACTED and not really get the message. . . I mean you DID win that contest too, ya know. ...Ya know.

The information they have now is that babies come from storks and cabbages. Thirteen-year-olds should have better information than that. I don't think there's any proof that more information leads to more sex.

I can't believe you brought up that ridiculous contest. I don't see how that's relevant to this discussion.

I think the information they have is just fine. I mean they're thirteen. What use could they have for more NOW anyway???

. . . You REALLY can't see why I brought it up? REALLY? You know, hot teacher talking sex facts? Room full of horny brats? Get the picture now?

Thirteen is well into puberty, when kids' bodies start doing all kinds of things that they should be able to understand. I don't really think I'm the most qualified to teach the class, I just think they should have the information.

And didn't you actually win that contest, according to the votes? I think mine was just an honorable mention. I was the only female nominated.

I ... guess? Ugh, whatever. If I come across brats macking I won't be happy, I hope you know! And well, who'd ya have in mind then? I can't think of anyone.

.. Huh. I [ink blot] I thought it was a tie, wasn't it a tie. . . WELL UM. YEAH THEY STILL FIND YUO PRETTY HOT THOUGH.

Macking? Who uses that word?

I don't think it was a tie, but we can agree to disagree. So as the two hottest teachers at Hogwarts, we're out of the running. It doesn't mean we shouldn't have the class. Some of the things the kids are saying are just...moronic.
