Now that things are beginning to return to normal, allow me to pose a question. Was the reward worth the cost, or would it have been better to not have pushed that button in the first place?

hard choices to make, with the clarity of hindsight, cost and gain, careful consideration left too long

It would have been better not to push, but I gained a lot, too.

I went home. For several weeks - I got to finish something I was in the middle of.

I think those who got cursed would say it wasn't really worth it at all. Myself included, though I really can't bring myself to blame them.

I was planning on hosting a party to lift the general mood - would you help me?

But what about those who got something instead?

It would certainly give me something to keep my thoughts off of current matters. I'd be glad to.

What did you get out of the deal?

Why should I tell you? Hn. Whatever it is, it's worth cursing somebody else for.

Consider it a sort of curiosity.

In light of my wife's wish, I believe I made the wrong choice in what to wish for when pressing my button, but I believe that pressing the button was still a valid choice. I should have gone home, however, rather than ask for something tangible.

What did you ask for, if I may ask?
