TBH that entire two hour long (?) convo was made of win. We should do that more often, just next time not at 4 AM.
I actually like this Sano better, it's my only overall preference though. I still got bored enough that I didn't bother downloading the rest. I must look into this sexually confused drama though. Anything other than utter heterosexuality is stupidly underrepresented in Jdramas, TBQH. It's sad. Drama world needs more gay people! And bi people! And not have it be a comedic point, rather have it be something taken seriously! Love Shuffle is the only drama I've ever seen that portrayed a bisexual character as something acceptable and not played for laughs.
Actually, Hana Kimi isn't so bad in that field- at least the original. As comedic as the overall drama was, you could really feel Nakatsu's struggle to figure out if he liked boys and his eventual acceptance of it. It felt real to me. Even though the "boy" he liked turned out to be a girl. I mean yes, it was humorous, but only in that the entire drama was humorous. I didn't feel like they were trivializing homosexuality at all- Nakatsu was genuinely prepared to make peace with the idea that he might be gay, and he wanted a completely normal homosexual romance.
*gets off soapbox*
Why do my comments all turn out this long? I only wanted to grin at you and then suggest buying Citronella (seriously, go buy it, it's amazing) for your mosquito issue.
