im back from cali, it was incredible a million and a half stories.
went whalewatching
ate at this crazy restaraunt for free that our bill totalled 900 dollars
went dancing
saw alot of beautiful things
played frisbee in a rose garden next to a really old courthouse
starred in numerous photo shoots with photo school kids
COACHELLA RECAP:
DAY ONE
daft punk: best live experience iv ever had
atmosphere: fun as hell hands in the air
clap your hands: very good but not alot of intensity
cat power: excellent but she was on or having a hard time being off of some kind of drugs
animal collective: good great incredible
walkmen: terribly dissapointed by live show, new songs boring
devendra banhart: so incredible , fans are creepy but he was great considering the experience resembled a charles manson sing along
lady soverign: funny as hell
new amsterdams: boring but ok
section quartet: sooo incredible...covered alot of radiohead+eliott smith
Day TWO:
Octopus project: fun, different, used a live dolcimer(spll chk)
mius the bear: not bad still ass holes
mates of state: one of better performances iv seen, new songs good live
amadou and miriam: one of sickest guitarists iv scene and hes blind!!
sleater kinney: not bad didnt see much of it though
mogwai: absolutely heavy and out of this world one of the best performances at coachella by far...and we were the only headbangers haha
wolf parade: soooooo fucking good and they broke stuff so that a plus
yea yea yea: hardly watched but seemed good
TOOL: definitely good, new songs sounded allright, not a bad way to end it all.
after coachella
went for a drive in the mountains
saw the largest dinosaur replicas in the US...the ones u see in pee wee herman and that movie where they travel across the us to play in a video game tournament...anyone remember the title?
stayed with my cousin in the mountains went to a pizza place that had pnut butter pizza
went to a bar to play pool and got in a fist fight with rednecks before we finished our first beer haha so funny and crazy
overall i couldnt have asked for a better trip. came home and played soem sick kickball.
