Character name: Tron Bonne
Fandom: Mega Man Legends
Timeline: Post Mega Man Legends 2
Age: 14
~*Magical*~ abilities and strengths: Tron doesn't have any special powers in particular, but she's a mechanical genius. She's very intelligent, able to build large-scale robots and even vehicles with the right materials and the right amount of money. She also acts as the Bonne pilot for the most part, having knowledge of how to operate many of the machines she creates.
How would they use their abilities?: Probably attempting to make something without refractors and failing miserably. Without the prime energy source from her world, she's... kind of out of luck.
Appearance: Tron is a slim girl with green eyes and dark brown hair with a pink headband resting on top. She's usually seen wearing a pink turtleneck shirt under her black half-cut jacket but over a black leotard. Resting on her chest and as earrings is the mark of the Bonne family, a stitched up skull's face. To match her shirt and headband, she also wears pink gloves on her hands as well as pink Mary Janes on her feet. For whatever reason, she also has a metal plate on her crotch. When she's working in her lab, she lets her hair down to her shoulders and replaces the blue jacket with a white labcoat, along with a pair of glasses.
Background/Personality: -The Misadventures of Tron Bonne-
Tron Bonne, as her name tells us, is a member of the Bonne Family Pirates along with her brothers Teisel and Bon. The mechanist of the group, Tron created a majority of the machines that the Bonnes use, including the 40 Servbots that assist the Bonnes in numerous ways, whether it be piloting, cleaning, cooking, assisting Tron in the development of new parts, or of course, helping her out in the field. With the Servbots helping her and all the expenses taken care of by Teisel, she would go on to create the Bonne's ship, the Gesellschaft.
However, the Gesellschaft didn't come cheap. As it would be revealed, Teisel actually took out a large loan to the tune of one million zenny from the Loath family's leader; Lex Loath. Loath sent his second in command, Glyde, to collect the zenny from Teisel as he searched for for a large refractor crystal, refractors being the main source of energy in the world. As Teisel didn't have it, Glyde took them captive instead. Tron set out to search for them, finding out about the IOU Teisel took out and deciding that it was time for her to make that money back.
She did so by pulling off various jobs. Of course, as a pirate, a few of those jobs involved thievery. Pulling off a few bank robberies was the first of her escapades, running afoul of a rookie cop who continously failed to bring Tron to justice. Despite being an enemy, Tron gave her words of encouragement along with a few taunts before going on her way. After stealing cargo and doing a bit of treasure hunting, Tron's tenacity paid off as she was able to get one million zenny. However, Loath informed her that Teisel had interest to pay, requiring another two million zenny. Steamed, she was escorted off of his ship and back to the Gesellschaft to plan out how they were going to get two million zenny-- and how they were going to work towards payback for everything Loath was putting them through.
After collecting all of the additional funds, Loath still told her that she owed money; interest on her interest. This time however, he decided to toss her into a dungeon due to her attempts to challenge his decision with the intent of having her work alongside Teisel and Bon in order to pay off that debt. While in the dungeon, she was reunited with the other Bonnes with Teisel informing Tron of Loath's plot; unearthing the Colossus, a massive robot that could give anyone massive amounts of power. Deciding to break out, Tron got in touch with the Gesellschaft and sent her favorite Servbot to lead the way into the base to bust them out of there.
The Servbots sprung the Bonnes from the dungeon in the Gustaff, and now that they were out, they came up with their next plan; robbing Loath for everything he took as retribution. With Tron and Teisel in the Gustaff, they came across the head of the Colossus, surprised at the sheer size of it. Their surprise was interrupted by Glyde, attacking them as they left the dungeon. Along with Bon, Tron and Teisel took Glyde down and went back to the Gesellschaft after the Colossus was activated.
Despite planning on taking a breather, the Bonnes were soon under attack by Loath piloting the Colossus, Teisel being knocked overboard and Tron getting seriously injured. She sent the Servbots to go fight against the Colossus in any way they possibly could. Inevitably, the Servbots found a way through the defenses of the giant robot and brought it down after taking the giant refractor that was powering the machine. Despite her vengeful urges, Tron saves Loath and Glyde from drowning after they were sent into a body of water thanks to the exploding Colossus only to drop them off at the police station for the rookie cop to apprehend.
Believing that they've finally hit it big, the Bonnes went to celebrate their success and praise the Servbot that assisted them the most by breaking them out of the dungeon and taking on the Colossus. However, that same Servbot wound up on garbage duty and accidentally threw out everything that they had just made, including the Colossus's golden refractor. Tron, being unpleased, sent that same Servbot on a one way trip to the Gesellschaft's torture room.

The Bonnes' next escapade came as they landed on Kattelox Island in search of an even bigger treasure; the Mother Lode. The Servbots and Tron led the initial search in town, searching for information on where the treasure could be. Unfortunately, Tron's search didn't go as well as she thought it would, as she found herself being chased by a small dog in the process. Climbing up a lamppost, she tried hard to shoo the dog away, but all it did was continue to bark at her. Soon enough, a boy wearing blue armor came to her aid, successfully able to get it away from her. She was stunned for a moment, just staring at him before she ran away flustered, telling him to mind his own business.
She came across that same blue boy later, finding out that he had just taken out the Servbots, who had sealed off a door leading to City Hall. Shrugging off whatever "funny feelings" she had, she attempted to make a deal with him: forget what just happened with the Servbots in exchange for him going to work for the Bonnes. Refusing to work for pirates, the blue boy stood his ground as Tron attacked in her new robot: the Feldynaught. The blue boy wound up being too much for Tron and the Feldynaught to handle in the end, as he blew it up. Tron was surprised, admitting that he wasn't bad at all and vowing that the next time they meet, it would turn out differently.
It didn't. Three more times, the Bonnes fought against the blue boy. With both Bon and Teisel coming up short and all three of them failing to beat him in a combined effort. Tron herself didn't feel sad about it until the following battle-- which resulted in that same blue boy aboard his tinier ship destroying the Gesellschaft. Launching one more attack on them in the Focke-Wulf, the blue boy took them down one more time, resulting in them plummeting to the ground. While he thought they hadn't ejected and died in the resulting explosion, they did survive.
The Bonnes retreated to the Old City on Kattelox Island, building a giant robot while the boy continued searching around the island. Eventually, the boy's search led to the warehouse they were working in. Tron yelled at him momentarily for finding them, but was stopped when he grabbed her hands and seemed happy that they were okay. Teisel knocked her out of her stunned state, telling her to get to the robot and start it up. As she did, she told the boy that she was proud of their creation; the Bruno. Despite the size of the robot, the boy took it down. After that, Teisel gave a speech about how no one had ever given him that much trouble before, and asked the boy's name. Rock. Or MegaMan here in the states, but I'll most likely use Rock. Teisel led the trio away from him, with Tron looking back and wondering if they'll ever see him again. Teisel however, told both her and Bon that they would wait until Rock opened the Main Gate and that they would then follow him and take all the treasure inside for themselves. Immediately raising her spirits.
They followed that plan, watching Rock as he moved through the Central Gate. As they watched however, they saw him get trapped by an odd looking smiling robot. They overheard that robot's plans, to wipe out everyone on the island as the "Carbons had grown overpopulated". When it left, Tron and Teisel sprung Rock from the trap, seeing to him and making sure that he was okay. Tron looked conflicted and said that it wasn't over between them, so he had better come back in one piece. With that, they watched as Rock went on to fight that robot. And of course, waited so they could snatch the giant refractor inside. While Rock defeated that strange robot and saved the entire island, the Bonnes and the Servbots floated away on a makeshift ship built out of the remains of the Gesellschaft, planning on living like kings!
-Mega Man Legends 2/Rockman DASH 2 - Episode 2: Great Inheritance-
...only. They didn't. Teisel had squandered the money and the Bonnes once again became pirates, joining forces with Glyde and another associate named Klaymoor offscreen. They heard more about the Mother Lode, finding out that it wasn't a treasure at all and was instead a catastrophe waiting to happen. Tron and Teisel spent their time in disguise in order to gather information, mainly about the Mother Lode and the keys needed to unlock it. And so the Bonnes decided to go after it, accompanied by Glyde and Klaymoor. While Teisel wasn't happy about it, Tron assured him that after they found all the keys, the two could be dumped so they could get to the Mother Lode themselves.
While Tron went to Pokte Plains to get the keys, her first idea was to get Rock on her side. After jamming communications between him and his spotter Roll and using a voice synthesizer to disguise her voice, she badmouthed Rock and attempted to get him to warm up to the idea of joining up with the Bonnes. However, Tron's attempts at also using force didn't help much as Rock defeated Tron in her new machine, destroying the jammer and allowing Rock and Roll to have a conversation on the side. Defeated again, Tron cried as the Servbots took her away from there, just listening to the two talk.
As Tron, now with Bon helping her, attempted to find the third key after Rock found the first and second, this time successfully getting him on their side in order to "work towards a mutual goal". Their truce was shortlived as soon, Rock and Tron fought again with Tron in the Gustaff, Tron acting as a distraction so Bon could get away with the key. Rock wouldn't have it, and despite being outnumbered with the Servbots helping her, Rock beat her and blew up the Gustaff-- which wound up scorching off Tron's clothes. Embarrassed, she ran away and left Bon to lose the key to Rock.
As the final key was discovered, the Bonnes along with Glyde attacked Rock and his group on a train, with them quickly unlinking Glyde after Rock beats him and they attempt fighting him themselves. While they put up a good fight, Rock destroyed their part of the train too, sending them out of the car and into the snow. The next time they were seen, they were cheering on Rock as he fought an Ancient. However, said Ancient wouldn't have that, and it shot them down. Sending them to their demise, just like with the Gesellschaft.
Of course, as was the case with the Gesellschaft crash, the Bonnes wouldn't let that kill them and after Rock ends up on Elysium with Yuna and the other Ancient, Sera, they're seen working together with the Casketts and Von Bluecher on a rocket to find him. However, as they continue to test out the rocket, it exploded in mid-air. With Roll and Tron bickering over the rocket plans and the amount it'll cost to make the rocket and all that, Data simply looks up towards Elysium and speaks about how he'll be up there a bit longer than expected, as they refuse Data's help.
-Introducing Tron Bonne!-
As a mechanic, Tron cares a lot about her machines and all that she creates. As stated before, she created all 40 of the Servbots, and while she can lose her temper and not only threaten to punish them, but actually send them to the torture room when they're lazy, she cares deeply for them. Due to this, Tron fumes when someone insults and/or destroys anything she makes. This is seen through her rage at Rock after the Gesellschaft goes down, and her insistance on taking him out herself in the Focke-Wulf. She can't stand being upstaged either, her pride prompting her to insult the Flutter and Roll's mechanical skills when they interact.
Tron's caring side doesn't extend just to her machines, however. She does love her family very much, going to great lengths to get them back from Loath. Her pride as a Bonne shines when she does save both Teisel and Bon and launches an attack on those who captured him, declaring that now that they were together, there was no more playing nice. With that in mind, she feels bad when she lets them down against Rock, apologizing to Teisel after Rock destroys the Gesellschaft and the Focke-Wulf for letting them down. Regardless with them, she carries on and continues to create machines for them to use.
Another point of Tron's personality is her stubborn attitude. Teisel's attempts to convince her to stay behind on the Gesellschaft and let him pilot the Gustaff when facing off against Glyde would only be half successful, as Tron would go to search for Teisel anyway and even later, go to get Diana's Tear while Teisel was away. She also shows this as she fights, taunting her opponent regardless of whether or not they're winning. In that sense, she also refuses to take no for an answer when Rock decides against joining Tron in becoming her servant, asking once in Mega Man Legends and again in the prelude to Mega Man Legends 2. In fact, she goes to the length of capturing Roll in an ill-fated attempt to have him join up with her.
Reason being of course, is that Tron has a rather obvious crush on Rock. While she still continues to fight against him, she gets confused when she realizes that she feels funny around him and when she and the other Bonnes are beaten, she still feels glad that they made it out okay. Combined with the fact that Rock constantly gets in their way, this just makes the feeling even more confusing for her, especially when he destroys her machines and just about watches the machine that they're in explode with them in it and shows up in the warehouse, happy to see them alive. Tron was immediately surprised at it, and the feeling grew worse when Rock grabbed her hands. Yes, to those of us that know of Japanese terms, Tron would be classified as a bonafide tsundere towards Rock, although she just tries hard to dismiss the feelings.
Of course due to this and the fact that she's a mechanic in her own right, she forms a rivalry with Rock's spotter, Roll Caskett. Believing her to be the better mechanic between the two, she laughs at her machines and refers to her as Rock's unimportant sidekick and a klutz of a mechanic. Her stubborn side shows in a non-series example, as she declares that she'd never willingly work together with Roll and that she's definitely not a good guy herself in NamcoxCapcom, yet still getting in an opportunity to ask Rock to join up with her. Roll dislikes her just as well, as the two fight as a side character notes, almost like cats and dogs as Roll gets offended by Tron calling the Flutter a little boat compared to the Gesellschaft. Granted, this does give Tron an aura of immaturity, as she's the one picking most of the fights while Roll tries to remain levelheaded. In any case, Tron finds Roll to be inferior to her in every way, and can't stand the fact that Rock chooses Roll over her.
In essence, Tron has two sides to her that flip-flop at will. There's the nice agreeable smart girl that she is around the Servbots and her family. There's also the angry loud girl that shows up when she's fighting or being insulted. Despite showing the second side a lot, Tron isn't what one could call a bad person despite the whole "being a pirate" thing. After all, the reason she stole before was to free Teisel and Bon, and despite digging up the ruins and causing a lot of trouble on Kattelox Island, she had a hand in ultimately saving Rock from Mega Man Juno's trap and shows an utter disdain for killing and being a criminal just for the sake of being a criminal.
Have you read up on how the game works?: FlamingFerret's the plugin, get yo money by working, mooching, or just being new on the ship.
1st person sample: Oooooh, this is just my luck! I get so close to finally showing that girl that I can make the rocket myself, and I'm tossed into a place like this!
I know it's for a good cause and everything, but I can't really start doing anything without any money or my kids around... and I still have to check and see if Teisel or Bon showed up here too! If you're out there you two, please be safe. I'll find you soon! Until then... [there's a audible sigh.]
Until then, I'll have to look around this ship. I might as well do something while I'm here!
3rd person sample: Tron walked along the ship, passing among the various aliens and everyone around. "Wow... this ship really is amazing! I've never seen anything like this!" It was really was unlike she had ever seen, bustling almost like a city. She almost wondered for a second though, about the valuables that the aliens possessed. The things that could possibly be taken here, or anywhere else in the universe that she had never seen before. There could even be technology that was more advanced than what she's ever seen or made before.
...and she was the only one here right now to take it all in.
She could almost hear Teisel's excitement at being on a ship like this, being able to see the rest of the universe. While the world behind them had so much to it, so many refractors and treasures still left to be uncovered and dug up. Even all the remains from their ships, those were all gone too. It was depressing to think about, but she couldn't stop to feel sad. After all. If she was here, then Teisel and Bon should be okay, right? After all, they wouldn't dare take a member of the Bonne Family and not account for the others. They were well known throughout the land, throughout their world! Even if they ran into trouble with Rock...
And then, she thought. She was out here, and could go to different planets, right? Well, while it wasn't particularly any of her business... she could potentially run into that planet that Rock was stuck on. It shouldn't have been destroyed along with Terra, so Rock was still out there somewhere. She didn't particularly care that he was still there, but she had to wonder if he was really safe...
She shook her head. It didn't matter! There was an entire ship to look around for the moment, until Teisel and Bon, and the rest of her kids showed up! Who cares if Rock was still on that planet anyway? Just as long as she and her family was safe.
Questions?: Alrighty, so. The Servbots. In her game, Tron was backed up by 40 of them. Obviously this would be a problem otherwise, but in NamcoxCapcom (which isn't canon, but still a good indication!), she was accompanied by three of them. So my question is, I obviously know that the 40 Servbots wouldn't be okay for the most part. Would three be an acceptable number, or would she be alone in her quests from now on?
Did you put your characters name and fandom in the subject: A yup!
