One Week Review....

In many ways this place has change little from when i left, at work its like i never left other then a few people have changed. The change I've noticed more is coming here dept free, I didn't really relies how much the thought i of “paying off dept” took the edge off things. KAF now seems a little more dusty, the people here a little more annoying, and the food seems blander then I remember.

(Geek alert, you may want to skip this paragraph) My little Network has grown up with out me. When I was here last I got drafted into building a tent line network. That involved putting a wireless router in each of the forty some tent we have and all the other hardware needed to connect them together. Well other tech have taken my foundations and ran with it, with more servers faster switches, and larger data stores. When I left only a few geeky people were using it, now almost every one uses it from file sharing to internet access. I came here with a total of 8 Tara-bytes of hard drive space and I'm not even in the running for most data storage... There is people here with rack mount servers in there 8'x6' tent spaces... I'm having a bit of hardware envy issues now.

The fencing has more or less stopped while i was gone, the equipment seems to have been stolen when the stage area ware we practice was being repaired... Turns out it has been moved and we are in the process of getting it returned to a lock box next to the stage. With a little calling around and a few email there is about 4 people left that fence and so we got it started again. And like before its going to be three evenings a week.

My home away from home is almost to were I like it. I have a fridge and shelving that hangs at head level that goes around 3 sides of my tent space. This time around I have given my self more storage space and yet it fells more open, I'm getting good at this whole micro room designing. This includes a two computers and my own projector that gives me the equivalent of a 42 inch tv on my wall at the foot of my bed.

All that’s left is to make a futon. There not much of a rush for me to make it as I got a new mattress. I got here at the end of a change over of one regiment to another, and the leaving regiment supple people gave us all the remaining new mattress they had in there stores as a thank you gift and as a poke to the next regiment who they don't particularly like.

Any way not much else to talk about, just going to try and keep my self busy, soon the ground hog effect will kick in and each day will feel like the last.
