[Foot falls are heard shuffling about, soon followed by the slosh and spill of water and the patter of it landing onto soft soil.

A tune escapes through the sounds, the words playing about in a light, pleasant tone.]

On Meadow-hills and mountains
As far as you can see.
Is it a mist, or clouds?
Fragrant in the morning sun.

Flowers in full bloom.

Across the Spring sky,
As far as you can see.
Is it a mist, or clouds?
Fragrant in the air.
Come now, come,
Let’s look, at last!

[Then, a pause.]
