Shigure was worried. It wasn't really that Kyo was spending a lot more time away from the house. That was a mercy, since it tended to save on repair bills.
But when he got back he'd be. . .quiet. Almost smug. And he seemed to be keeping his temper more. Never around Yuki, who he still seemed to hate, but. . .something had changed.
Kyo was in his room, flipping through a fighting manga. Shigure poked his head in. "Kyo? Why aren't you tearing the house down? Not that I mind, really, but you've changed."
The young man shrugged and sat up. Time for another tedious attempt at making him care. "Maybe I got better things to do than fight with that damn rat all the time."
Shigure blinked, and wondered if maybe he should take Kyo to see Hatori. "Really?"
There was a lot of glaring from Kyo's direction. Shigure smiled. That was more like it. "Have you found a girl? Is Kagura still hiding here?"
Kyo's only reply was the close the manga with an anti-climatic 'flap', and stand. "Who said you could come into my room anyway?! Go stick your nose in Yuki's damn business, you fucking dog!"
Satisfied that Kyo was, in fact, still feeling well, Shigure left, chuckling the whole way.
