This musical actually made me think: who do I live for? the musical this year has a really strong message - you have someone there that lives for you. So who do YOU live for?
Well, I feel the need to appologize from the beginning since this report will be only in points. After all, it was a musical and not a concert, and for me it is imposible to write a report about a musical. So I will write here the most effective points I had from the show.
My seat was on the first floor on the side, raw K (meaning pretty close to the stage...). However, it was the day that all cameras came, so all the cameras was next to me, which made me say "Thank god I have another ticket, even if for second floor!!!".
Anyway, here's for the point:
- Nakamaru popish version with the juniors to Kame's solo "Aishite Iru Kara". The dance and the song were abslutely OMG! I wish there was an OST for that musical!!!
- The juniors singing "Fight All Night".
- Kame singing with Juri "Aishite Iru Kara".
- Kame had uncountable flying scence and uncountable solos!
- Kame's Bungy-Jump dengarous stunt. It's absolutly amazing! he seemed really scared of doing it and really consetrated. When he did it, he almost slipped from the triangle. It's not only bungy-jump, but there are also dancers that hung out in the air and he needs to be carfule not to hurt them when he jump. and then, when all the dencers leave he stays alone on stage and keeps doing more gumping. When he finished, he looked really relieved.
- Koki singing "Anarchist" and than Juri joins him in the rap.
- When Juri first appeared at the musical as Koki's little brother, I was remembering Koki's appearance in Shonen Club Premum, when he said it was embarassing to appeared with his little brother...
- There was a hospital scene, when Koki was lying in bed after his boxing fight with Kazuya where Kazuya cracked Koki's skull, Yuuichi comes to visit him and Koki said he wants the three of them to sing together again and than the two of them sing the chourse of "Aishite Iru Kara" and than Koki dies. I was really crying...
- Juri has a weak heart and apperantly Koki plentad the weight in Kazuya's glove, so that Kazuya will kill him and he'll give his heart to Juri. At the end Kazuya said that Koki's heart is beating strongly in Juri.
- During the ending song all three of them where flying and singing!
- After the end of the play, the three KAT-TUN members sang songs. of course there were new songs like Run For You, etc, but also old ones: Kame was flying with Kimono and lipstick and singing 1582 <3
- During KAT-TUN's MC, Kame said that the last time Koki did it was 3 years ago. He asked him if he was nervouse, so Koki said that he was really nervouse, especially in the hospital scene. Nakamaru kept telling him "don't laugh, stay seriouse". Than Maru said "why are you saying this??? now everyone will know!". Than, Kame moved to speak to Maru. for him it was 5 years not doing Dream Boys. Than Kame told him about Dream Boys starring Kamenashi Kazuya, Tanaka Koki and Junnosuke Taguchi, and asked him why he's not doing the Iriguchi-Deguchi! And he also did the gestures... so Maru was angree at him, and told him "I'm not Taguchi!" than they said "so now our part is over" and half of the audience was "eeeee~?!" because everyone was expecting that Maru's birthday will be mentioned. but they called the other players to performed.
- After the last time of clapping hands, when all the audience was standing, Kame told everyone that today is Maru's birthday. Than he said "se~ro" and everyone started singing for him. Than he asked him how it is to be 28, and Maru said it's no different than to be 27. Than Kame said that Koki's brother will say something to Maru, and they push Juri to the front, but all he said was "Omedetou Gozaimasu". So Maru was like "ha?! that's it?! why Koki couldn't say it???" than they bowed one more time and finished.
* To finish everything, I bought the pamphlet (among other things), and it has Johnny's words written both in Japanese and in English. Since those words are very strong, I decided to write them down here:
"In this commemorative year
in which the Imperial Theatre celebrates its centennial,
first up was a New Year's run
of the 'Shinshun Takizawa Kakumei',
which was followed up
by 'Endless SHOCK' in the spring.
And now we bring you 'DREAM BOYS'
for the first time in two years.
'DREAM BOYS is an original musical
that features young people and their glory,
setbacks, torment, and hopes for brighter tomorrow.
Its theme is the universal and cherished bonds
of love and friendship that are shared
between parent and chiled, siblings, and friends.
In Japan we have this year witnessed a disaster
of unprecedented magnitude.
As each and every day makes us
all once again painfully aware of the importance
of love and the bonds that tie,
I hope that the eternal and unconditional love presented in
this musical serves as a reminder to all of the strength
and wonder that people possess.
This is a story of the young who
continue to march forward in belief of a brighter tomorrow,
without giving up, even in the face of difficulty.
Here's hoping that you enjoy every bit
of the show until the very end." Johnny H. Kitagawa
Edited from 23/9/2011:- When Kazuya sits on the bench and plays the guitar and Juri joins him with the two little juniors:
* Kame and Juri totally forgot their parts and Juri keeps laughing while speaking. He also keeps asking Kazuya if he really wrote this song.
* While Kame saying that he had pretty normal family - his father died and mother worked all the time, he and Juri was standing, and Juri was like "futsu jane~yo" and hit Kame's arm too hard, so Kame was like "ite~yo" and hit Juri in a very sensitive part in his front...
* Juri was supposed to put his hand on Kazuya's arm while he plays, so Kame asks why he put his hand on his arm, until he notice that Juli puts his hand on his shoulder...
* Kame asks the two little juniors if they are demons, so they say no, and than Juri say "only Kazuya is". so Kame say "I'm not. I'm Bem".
- When Maru and Koki sang One on One during the KAT-TUN singing part, Koki sang totally off-key...
- When Kame, Koki and Maru flew in the air together, Kame was excidently left in the air and couldn't get down (he needed to do some sweeming movements to move to the stage).
- During the MC:
* The MC part was too long and they didn't have much things to talk about (lots of embarrassing silence and stuff). There wasn't even time for messages! Kame appolagized for that.
* When Kame introdoced Koki and Maru, he said that Koki returned after 3 years of not playing on DBS, and Maru after 100 years of not playing, so Maru played along and said that he came even before DBS started. than they compared him with the grandpa from Chibi-Mariko-Chan...
* They spoku about going to a trip outsid the country, so koki syggested Hakone or Hokkaido. Than he said that he hates airplanes (hikouki kirai) and kept saying it. So Maru changed it to "koki kirai" and hi-fived it with Kame.
* They kept speaking about their dates with "bozu Ueda" and how he loves Lavender.
* at the end of the MC prt, Koki appologized to the audience of his side of the stage that all they see is his butt, so Kame said that he has nothing to appologize because his butt is cute (he used the word "cute" in English). So Koki gave some compliments to Kame's butt. Than Maru asked "wait, what about my butt?", and there was no comment...so he moved his butt in the direction of the stuff on the backstage...
