tip:
this colouring seems to work best in images that are of high quality with a lot of dark contrast. you can always add more contrast yourself, but for the sake of this tutorial something with high original contrast.

1. Layer > New Adjustment Layer > Photo Filter
FILTER : Cooling Filter (LBB)
DENSITY : 24%
Normal 80%
The original image had a lot of yellow in, i wanted to make the image more natural and blue. I wanted a little more contrast in the image, as some of the image was already dark the blue in the cooling filter darkened these a little more. You could do the same with some softlight layers ect, but i think Photo Filters are under used and do a great job.

2. Duplicate the Photo Filter layer (previous layer) and set to Multiply 20% Opacity.
I wanted to add a lot more contrast with this layer and yet keep the sheen in the image. I found this to be a simple and quick way. If your image is already to dark lower the opacity of this lower, or remove it altogether.

3. Create a New Fill Layer and Flood with #c599b1 and set to Lighten 40% Opacity.
This layer will look really odd at the moment but is useful for later on! So trust me! This layer pretty much mattes out the image. This colour layer will be the under colour for the image, so if you want a pink under tone change this layer.

4. Duplicate the original image, drag to the top and set to Softlight 100% Opacity.
The last layer made the image look a little odd, this layer will sort this out. Without the last layer this layer would darken the image too much. This layer again create more contrast, but it also adds to the sheen effect in the image. This layer will bring out the colour from the last image as well.

5. Create another New Fill Layer and Flood with #0c0401 and set to Exclusion 100% Opacity.
I wanted to keep up the idea of having a purpley pink under tone, so i used a dark red/orange. This layer adds a read nice coppery colour to Emmas hair and skin. The photo filter layer can make the skin look odd and too blue, this layer helps even that out.

6. Last Fill Layer and Flood with #ff8ebb, set to Softlight 30% Opacity.
I wanted to add more pink into the image, and i think softlight layers do this brilliantly. If you find your image is lacking a colour, or you simply want it to be more red/green/yellow change the colour of this layer.

7. I always sharpen my image, i sharpened this twice and lower the second layer to 45%.
You may not need to sharpen your image, this layer is subjective.

That's it.
As always, this colouring will not work on every image, read the tip above for what should work. Change up the setting above to suit, and learn alittle from what I've shown you. None of the examples below used the same colouring.
Please don't copy the colouring exactly, or re-distribute this and claim as your own.
Enjoy, if you have any question or problems don't hesitate to ask.
