Yesterday was “Bring your family to P.T. Day” It's when the military members are allowed to bring their wives/children out with them to their Physical Training and we get to do our best to keep up... So glad I had a chiropractor appointment later in the day. lol There was also the long overdue “Welcome Home” family picnic for the battalion, so we all got another chance to laugh at each other's physical shortcomings, when all the women were wobbling around walking funny...
As for me, Wobbling around and BARELY walking is more like it. They didn't change the workout to be easier for the family members at all, but simply said "try to keep up". I was able to keep up with everything but the push-ups, but it was really hard after the first half of it all.
By the time they lined up for the run, my legs were trembling and jelly-like. I lined up to join, but they started off at nearly a full run from the get go, and I just couldn't manage to force myself through it anymore.
I fell out after about 1/8th of it and walked back to where it started. After everyone else returned, we did more stretching and calisthenics, after which Scott nearly had to drag me to the car.
To make things worse, I was at the very front, in the very center, the whole frikkin time. So I was the easiest wife to view and laugh at, out of the entire battalion. One of my most embarrassing memories ever...
Right now I can hardly get to my feet climbing out of bed, let alone climbing the stairs to my apartment. Still, it's amazing the difference that one workout can make on the human body. Already my waist seems a little more defined, and I can almost make out a hint of abdominal muscle underneath that layer of flab... Though that might just be a trick of the light, as my eyes fill with tears, simply trying to flex...
On another note, Scott and I mentioned for like, the 100th time, that we really need to get DA accounts. Then Scott mentioned an idea that might just work... I know it sounds a little crazy, but if he and I were to share an account, then it would be easier to nag each other to update. We could feel less silly about working on our webcomics together, and only have to post to one place, rather than two. Basically, we've been putting off getting DA accounts forever, but if we did it together, then we might finally make one...
Maybe...
We'll see how long we procrastinate one this... lol
